Down...but are we out?

Rahul Dravid recently quoted that sometimes we fall, and all we can do is to dust ourselves, pick ourselves up and keep running. But recovering from a 1-4 loss will not be easy. The first test begins soon and we have barely a few days to recover, "dust ourselves" as Rahul has said.

I am still sceptical about Wasim Jaffer. With no reserve opener and 8 innings to be played, this should once and for all decide whether he is here to stay or not. Uthappa had his chance in the last one dayer but that's sometimes how cricket works. Hopefully he'll be persisted with in the future. The bowling has traditionally been a worry but now I feel its the batting that needs help as well. Dhoni & Pathan are struggling. Laxman hasn't played here in a while and nor has Jaffer. Once again, Rahul will have to rise to the occassion not to mention Yuvi.
It promises to be a testing series. If asked for a prediction, I still think Brian Lara aside, India can win this 2-1.

He's out

Sachin is out of the West Indies tour. His shoulder has still not recovered from the surgery. Is this the beginning of the end for the man? I have been saying for the last few months now that the genius is nearing the end of his physical reserves. My only wish is he leaves on a high. Can life be so cruel...so cruel that it would deny arguably the most celebrated Indian in the country's history the chance to sing one last, melodious swansong?
I certainly hope not.

oh la la la...lu le oh!

And they're away! My belief in this team is soaring and I think a good a*s whopping of the West Indies is in the offing in the one dayers at least.

C'mon India Dikhado!
